Thorndon celebrated The Diamond Jubilee initially by having a display of archived material on Sunday 3rd June in the Village Hall.
Irene Theobald launched her book Thorndon - A Clayland Village.
On the 5th June a Family Picnic was held on the meadow adjacent to to the Black Horse pub.
